Black Bear • Grizzly Bear • Scenery Black Bear Photographs Taken at Anan Bear ObservatoryWe went to the Anan Bear Observatory near Wrangell, Alaska to view black bear. This was the first bear viewing we did on the trip and I expected to see more bear than we did at the platform. Although if my count is right we saw 10 bear here but only 3 were at the viewing platform. The best part was while we were eating lunch on the beach. A mother black bear with two cubs came along the shore and let us photograph them. There were also some school children on the beach with us. One little girl was not paying much attention to the bears. A lady in my group asked if see would like to get closer to get a better look at the bears. The little girl responded that she lived in Wrangell and seeing a bear was like seeing a mosquito.
