Harp Seal Photographs on the Ice Flows of the Magdalen Islands

When I look at these pictures I think of how much fun it was to take them, yet, at the time I distinctly remember being very bored a lot of the time.  I never seem to remember exactly how much you sit and do nothing when photographing wildlife.  Usually I take a book along and read it while I am waiting the the action to happen.  Somehow that didn't seem appropriate on an ice flow.  Sitting in one place to long would mean freezing.  Also a book would have gotten drenched.  

Oh well.  The seal pups were adorable and I want to go back.
